Between Meydan One and Al Quoz 2, Mohammed Bin Rashid City’s District One is a residential district.
Developer Meydan Sobha announced the AED35 billion project in January 2014. It spans a huge stretch of territory covering 501 hectares (1,240 acres), with open green area accounting for more than 65 percent of the total.
The Crystal Lagoon, the world’s largest man-made lagoon, is the centrepiece. The lagoon is a seven-kilometer length of water bordered by 14 kilometres of man-made beaches and surrounded by parkland, streams, and woodlands. It was developed with a patent technology that maintains the water looking crystal blue all year.
